2008 Local Scholarship Program. UFSC will award one-time scholarships to selected Greater Cincinnati minority high school students who plan to pursue a financial services career or business related profession and who demonstrate the following eligibility criteria:
- Overall Grade Point Average of 2.8 or higher on a 4.0 scale;
- Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher for the last two grading periods;
- Applying to an accredited four-year college or university with an accredited Business program;
- Have a Greater Cincinnati residency. (Includes all school districts in: Hamilton, Butler, Warren and Clermont counties in Ohio; Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties in Kentucky; and Dearborn, Ohio, and Switzerland counties in Indiana.
- Are citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
In addition, UFSC is looking to honor hard-working students who actively participate in school and community activities. The scholarship participants should have innovation, solid career direction and excel in the areas of leadership, motivation and character. Also, eligible students should have a need for financial assistance.
To become a candidate for this scholarship, submit the following documents:
- Official school transcript;
- SAT or ACT scores (may be a copy of official form);
- Headshot of student (High resolution digital or electronic submission is
acceptable; photo becomes property of UFSC);
- Two letters of recommendation, one must be from a school teacher or counselor;
- Essay on personal short- and long-term goals and objectives detailing how the scholarship will assist to obtain goals and objectives. (Essay should be typed and should not exceed a maximum of two pages); and
- Completed application (Download Scholarship Application)
All submissions must be received
by a future date to be determined.
